Tortorella gets a fresh start...

The Detroit Redwings would like to welcome Coach John Tortorella to the team while thanking former coach Geoff Ward for his efforts

During a press conference at Little Ceasers Arena, Torts was asked about his final days in Pittsburg to which he responded, 'I deserved to get fired'.  After a few seconds of awkward silence, Tortorells continued with, 'Some of you reporters sit here and tell me I'm curt or whatever. I'm not going to have a staring contest. If you don't ask me a question, I'll just leave'.  

An unknown reporter that goes by the handle 'LS Puck' attempted to ask Tortorella about why he was recently fired however Torts interjected with, 'You were probably beat up at the bus stop most of the time' before promptly getting up and walking out of the room.

The Red Wings later released a statement saying, 'John Tortorella is a perfect fit for the organization'.
