Panthers in unseen territory, can they stay there?

1/15/2022 • Jean Levergneux

For the first time seen the Panthers GM Jean Levergneux took over the Florida franchise, the team is over .500 past the halfway of the regular season and they are currently 2nd in the weak Atlantic division.

With the team about to embark in their annual Canadian Western the next 5 game / 10-day road trip is will reveal if the Panthers are contenders or pretenders.

Has mentioned in the latest version of “What’s hot and What’s not” the Florida franchise has been one of the hottest teams in the DCHL with an 8 -2 record over the last 10 games to propel them up the ranking in the Atlantic division and the league.

The next 5 games will be tough with match ups against top teams like Calgary, Edmonton and Winnipeg, the Panthers will need to secure wins in Seattle and Vancouver and steal a win in the other 3 games to continue the progress they made under new coach Bruce Boudreau.

A win against Edmonton who own the Panthers first round pick would be nice, since the Edmonton GM was expecting a top 3 pick when he acquired the pick 2 years ago.

Either way, it will be fun to see what the next 10 days bring for the Panthers!
