The LA Kings brass knew better than to expect the Wild to roll over after the decisive Kings victory in game one. Sure enough, the Wild ripped off three straight wins before the Kings could parry. It's taken two back to back overtime wins, but the Kings are still very much involved in this series.
LA Kings Captain Sidney Crosby rallied the troops in game six, scoring once in the second period, and again in overtime to force game seven. Sid finished with an impressive 2g 2a, showing that he just isn't ready to go home yet. Special teams units were key once again, with the PK killing off all four Minnesota powerplay's, and the Kings man advantage unit scoring a crucial goal within one minute of the Wild's first tally to tie the game and stave off momentum.
We're headed back to LA for game 7, where all hands will be on deck. The Kings will need the lockerroom leaders to bring the same high energy that we've seen in games five and six, but the boys will need to stay laser-focused to get out of LA with the series in hand.
Let's go Kings!
