Kings open season at home with a win

New players come up big, GM roams Staples Centre shirtless
12/26/2020 • JL Wolf

Someone grab those pucks!
Rookie John Marino gets his first career DCHL goal and new captain Sid Crosby buries his first goal as a King on the new look powerplay, which went on to be the game winner. Wennberg would add an insurance marker, but it would prove to be unnecessary thanks for the stellar performance of Mackenzie Blackwood, who stopped 39/40 shots on a very busy night. However, it wasn't all rainbows and sunshine as Brian Boyle took a skate to the wrist and will miss an extended perior of time. New addition Pierre Eduard Bellemare will likely backfill Boyle's 4C position.
GM Wolf was seen at ice level, encouraging his young stars, and enjoying one or twelve adult beverages.
Kings look to get back to work against the divisional rival Sharks after a night off on DCHL Day 3.
