BIG changes in Oil Country

Ramsey's excited about his 2nd season
9/22/2023 • Bob Ramsey

Gm Ramsey of the Edmonton Oilers, had a pretty successful first season as the New Oilers GM. Even though it took half of his first season to figure out what route to take this team. The bulb finally lit, and it was the decision to move towards Now. The first round of the playoffs found the Oilers vrs the high Powered Sharks. The Oilers came out on top, and moved onto the second round after eliminating the Sharks in 6 games. The second round, saw the oilers as a serious underdog, as they would face the Mighty Calgary Flames, where they would find themselves failing to finish off the series in 2 elimination games as the Flames fell 3 games to 2 after 5. In a close 2 to 1 battle in game 7, the Flames would move on, and Ramsey's Oilers would regroup. This year is shaping up to be an even more exciting season for this Oilers team. Some huge moves in the off-season for this team, moving guys like Boldy, Eriksson Ek, Hall, Tippet, and other pieces of future, to add the likes of Ekblad, Forsberg, Huberdeau, Tuch, Forsling, Stone, Krejci ect. Ramsey has definitely continued with his "Now" approach.. Even though this club has Stanley Cup written all over it, it's also at a time where at least 6 or 7 other teams in the League have that same label. 4 others of which, just happen to be in the Oilers pacific division.it's going to be one hell of a season, especially in the pacific division for this Oilers club.
