Trades are sometimes the way to go!

12/22/2024 • Nathan Bon-Bernard

On November 23rd in a span of 2 hours and 24 minutes Bruins made 2 trades that has largely contributed to the recent success.  In two separate deals the Bruins acquired forwards Trevor Moore and Ryan Hartman and the results couldnt have gone any better.

Since being acquired Hartman has 14 points in 13 games and Moore has 15 points in 13 games.  The Bruins went from hovering around .500 to being 9-1 in their last 10 and being on a 5 game win streak.  While all the success can't be attributed to those 2 trades they were the final piece that for the moment has turned the Bruins season around.  Hartman has also found chemistry with captain John Tavares as both are on 10 game point streaks.

Another contributing factor was the acquisition of Alex Lyon.  At first he was brought into the organization as a backup to Montembault but with Montembault struggling the decision was made to give Lyon a chance and Lyon has taken that opportunity and proven he was worth it.  He has started 10 games and has a record of 9-1.

While the Bruins need to figure out a way to stop the opponent from scoring so much (26th in GA) for the moment the offence is rolling enough (4th in GF) that the team will survive until that happens!

As always its shaping up to be a fun season where a few Bruins have potential to hit career highs in points!
