2020-2021 Season / Off Season
The 2020-2021 Season was one for the dump and no chase to the cup for the St-Louis Blues. With not much action last year done by GM Lauzon, it was very clear that the team was trying to focus on the next season. Now that off season has started, GM Lauzon had some talks with the New York Islanders concerning the 6th overall pick that were in Blues hands. With a bunch of interesting offer, GM Lauzon felt like it was the move to make to shake things up in the roster. Star forward William Nylander and the 6th overall pick was sent to the NY Islanders for Kasperi Kapanen and Josh Anderson. GM Lauzon felt like it was the best thing for the team to bring some goal scoring players into the mix with Matthews and Buchnevich. Lauzon said that he is not sure which of the new forwards will be starting the season on the first line but that their will be a good mix of lines in the pre season games.
Expansion draft :
With having a team with young talent GM Lauzon was lucky enough to have some breathing room on the expansion draft available players list, which has caused Tomas Nosek to be selected by the Seattle Kraken organization. GM Lauzon, would like to thank Tomas for his dedication and hard work that he gave this organization and team thoughout the years. Tomas in entering a brand new team that will for sure be an exciting experience for him and Seattle. We wish both Tomas and Seattle goodluck in the upcoming 2021-2022 season.
Free Agency :
During this Free Agency, GM Lauzon will be focused on signing a pair of defensemen and possibly 1 key forward. " I look forward to the free agency to be able to sign some key players and to finally make the big push for the cup. Lets bring the cup back to St-Louis!!" GM Lauzon said.
