Sharks in town

Potentially a 1st round preview
3/20/2023 • Bob Ramsey

Tonight the powerhouse San Jose Sharks visit Rogers Place, in what will be a preview to what will likely be coming in the 1st round of the Playoffs in the Pacific Division.  This will be the second meeting of these 2 teams with the first back on January 13th seeing the Sharks handle the Oilers in a 5-1 Sharks victory. GM Ramsey spoke about tonights game. " The Sharks may have beat our club back in January, but we are a very different team now a days. We have made some major improvements within our roster, and 2 days after that game, we brought in head coach Jim Montgomery who has brought this team to a whole new level of play. Tonight is going to be a very good test, against a very good team. We are ready for this test!" The Oilers trail the Sharks by 4 points in the standings. The Oilers hold their own fate in their hands, as these 2 teams face each other 2 more times after tonight, before this season ends. Who will hold Home ice advantage when the playoffs start? Aside from some crazy set of events, these 2 teams are very likely to battle it out in the first round of the playoffs. Time will tell.
