The Seattle Kraken Have Acquired Erik Karlsson from the Montreal Canadiens this past week along with MTL 1st 24 for a package that includes (Prospect) Connor Geekie, Pitts 1st 2024, PHI 1st 25, WAS 1st 25 and 10,000,000 DCHL cash. In 16 games with the Canadiens this year Karlsson has racked up 11 points in 16 games. Once Karlsson arrived in Seattle GM Brideau didn't take long and named Karlsson the New Captain of the Kraken with over 500 Games played in Sim, Brideau knew with Karlsson's experience and leadership he would be a great fit.

GM Brideau has been very busy these past few weeks making some trades acquiring several picks for the upcoming 2024 NHL Entry Draft with a total of 28 picks with 12 of them being in the first 2 rounds and potenitally having a few top picks in the draft the future is bright for the Kraken and Brideau has shown he isn't affraid to pull the trigger and rebuild the Kraken the way he wants to.

The NHL 2024 Entry Draft has lots of talent with the likes of Centermen Macklin Celebrini out of Boston College, LW Cole Eiserman from USA Hockey National Team Development Program and RW Ivan Demidov from SKA St. Petersburgh, as the potential top 3 picks in this years draft.
