Kraken Prospect Ranking

The Future
3/9/2025 • Zach Brideau

Coming into the 2024-2025 DCHL season I completly flip flopped again and traded away my future and picks and made some bad trades to then decide that being competive wasn't going to work for the 2nd time in my DCHL career and that I need to rebuild properly and not flip flop and be patient. It's been a learning curve for sure relizing you can't just build a Stanley Cup team over an offseason, it takes years to build a team and thats what I hope to do with the prospect I have and will draft in the years to come.

This season i've recouped my prospect pool and got back draft picks to help with this rebuild. With 10 draft picks in the first 3 round I should be able to grow my prospect pool even more and make it a top prospect pool in the DCHL

Eduard Sale Ranked 91st by the hockey writters, Sale in his first year of pro with the Coachella Firebirds has produuced a level you'd expect out of a first year pro with 19pts in 38 games, Sale had a good showing at the world junior this year with 8 points in 7 games for the Czech. The Kraken our hoping to have him in the lineup for the 2027-2028.

Adam Jiricek Ranked 53rd by the hockey writters we recently aquired Jiricek for his size and for his shot, Jiricek currently playing in the OHL with other DCHL Kraken Prospects, Nick Lardis and Ryerson Leenders. Jiricek will be the future of the Kraken and has the potenial to be the Top D for our franchise.

Noah Ostlund Ranked 49th by the hockey writers, The thing that scares me about Ostlund is playing in the NHL Sabers organization. The sabers aren't the best at develpoing players. Ostlund has been lights out in his first full pro year in the AHL registering 23 points in 35 games. I feel Noah has the chance to be a top 6 forward in Buffalo with his speed and playmaking abilites. DCHL Kraken hope to see Ostlund make his debut in 2027.

Konsta Helenius ranked 21st by the hockey writters, I don't think anybody expects a 18 year to jump to North America and play in the AHL and put up 27 points in 50 games, with still lots to learn at the pro level Konsta has shown he can play with the big boys and hoping to see him playing in the NHL next year for Buffalo and see him in the DCHL the following year.

Matthew Savoie ranked 20th by the hockey writers. I've been after Savioe since the off season, and finally when the chance came to bring him to the kraken I had to pull the trigger and trade Eiserman who would say no when you get a player like savioe and a 1st, in his first pro year in Bakersfield Savioe has put up 40 points in 47 games ands has impressecd the Oilers enough he made his oilers debut and got an assist in his first games. we seen Savioe in Top 6 once he makes it to the DCHL in a few years.

Other Notables we have in our prospect pool

Nick Lardis who we aquired from LAK has been record breaking in the OHL this year putting  up 70 goals and 113 points in 61 games, Lardis should be playing in the AHL next year and hopefully in the DCHL in 3 years,

Carter George, Ty Nelson, Scott Ratzlaff, Colin Graf, Domenic Divincentis, Beau Akey and Aleksanteri Kaskimaki.

I also recently aquired Jakob Dobes who so far this season in Montreal is looking like he could be the future with a record of 6-1 and 1 shoutout in 11 games. I've stocked piled some Goalie for a reason has it usually takes goalies longer to become good in the DCHL. Having a young goalie in Dobes age 24 helps with the rebuild in Seattle. I'm hoping to become a better teaam in the next 5 years.

The Future can be bright here in Seattle the key to succes is for me to be patient and let my prospect grow and become DCHL stars.
