Avalanche Hire New GM

Roster Moves and Season Preview
10/10/2021 • Nick Caughell

The Colorado Avalanche hire Nick Caughell as their new General Manager and he has wasted no time with a few Trades and Roster Moves:

TO BOSTON:

Pierre Luc Dobois (COL 50% Retained Salary), Derek Ryan (COL Retained 1 Mil), 7th Round Pick

TO COLORADO:

Ryan Lindgren, Erik Haula, Scott Walford (Prospect)

TO CAROLINA:

Andy Greene (COL 50% Retained Salary)

TO COLORADO:

7th Round Pick

With an aging Defense Ryan Lindgren an up in coming Defenseman will likely round out the Top 4 in a years time.  Haula comes in to solidify the Third Line

Andy Greene was traded as a Cap Move tho also to make room for Lindgren to play on the 3rd Pair.

Will there be more deals to come Nick Caughell had this to say: "We are not actively prusuing Trades at this time tho if something comes along that makes sense we will look at it - Going into Regular Season in a few days likely want to run with the Team we have for a bit to determine how everything looks in more meanful games....."
