Scouting Report

Big possession forward who can play also center. Displays a terrific shot, a 200-foot game and a 60-minute push. Has so many of the attributes and tools you look for in a budding power forward: a heavy shot, good stick handling skills and a great size. He is a character team player who works hard away from the puck and soft hands. In International competition, he understood his role and, as part of a checking line, that was asked to engage opposing teams in the attack zone and making sure th0ey rubbed shoulders disrupting transitions and occupying enough battle space to get scoring chances along the way. Is a very active penalty killer who sacrifices his body blocking as many opposition shots as he can on his PK shift. His negatives, as of this juncture, are his heavy boots; there is little first step acceleration so he has to get going to get in stride, and play his 200 foot game that includes a strong forecheck and back check and hard wall work. His father Eric played so the bloodlines are there and so is his willingness to develop further. Some team will show their willingness to develop him further.

Projection: Top Six Skilled Winger

 Scouting Report

Russian transplant who is a wizard with the puck and a heck of a shooter. Has the size to push through contact, the wheels to weave in and out of traffic and displays a lightning release. Lets shots go while in full flight. A quick burst skater who displays good hands and to the separation speed, an array of moves, and can turn defenders inside out as the pursue and defend. Pushes through traffic he is wall play is already heavy and comparable  to pro-style wingers. He has the size to push through contact, is a solid wall player, and is more than willing to go to the net. Was clearly the best non-USA-NDP team player  at the USHL's Fall Classic in Pittsburgh. This is his breakout season. A heavy, pro-style winger who has a pinpoint release point on his off wing blistering shot and all the tools to advance to the higher levels. Has the biggest upside of any USHL player.

Projection: Middle Six Scoring Winger

Scouting Report

The late bloom Russian goal scorer has that size that coaches and hockey executives die for being 6’3”, and 190 pounds. The 25-year-old was scoring at will in the KHL with Spartak. He has an explosive shot, and isn’t afraid to use his size to his advantage. His shooting percentage was 19.9%. He was playing close to 18 minutes a game, and could very well be a solid middle six scoring winger.
