2022 NHL Mock Draft

Predicting the first round of the 2022 NHL Entry Draft
7/7/2022 • Gage Westerik

Hey DCHL! The NHL Entry Draft is today, so I thought it would be pretty fun to do my own mock draft. I didn't have time to add my reasoning for the picks, but if you're wondering why certain people dropped or rose, I'd be happy to explain my choices. This is assuming that no one trades their first round picks (which very likely won't happen). With that being said, here are my picks:

1. Montreal Canadiens: Shane Wright, C

2. New Jersey Devils: Juraj Slafkovsky, LW

3. Arizona Coyotes: Logan Cooley, C

4. Seattle Kraken: Simon Nemec, D

5. Philadelphia Flyers: Cutter Gauthier, LW

6. Columbus Blue Jackets: David Jiricek, D

7. Ottawa Senators: Jonathan Lekkerimaki, RW

8. Detroit Red Wings: Frank Nazar, C

9. Buffalo Sabres: Joakim Kemell, LW
