Looking into the future

What a 2023-2024 Flames lineup might look like
2/23/2022 • Vince Brzostowski

While it is still a full season and a half away, the Flames Fans have an eye on the future. "2023-2024 is where we feel our true Cup contention begins. Upfront we are hoping Stutzle has a break-out year next season and will be a top-line player come 2023. We are strong throughout the lineup and have a strong bankroll and should have around 20M in cap space if we need to be players in the next couple free-agent years if the right player is available."

Jordan Kyrou   Nick Suzuki   Tim Stutzle
Andrew Mangiapane   Sam Bennett "A"   Bo Horvat
Alexis Lafreniere   Dylan Cozens   Boone Jenner "A"
Alex Iafallo   Dillon Dube   Ivan Barbashev

Joshua Ho Sang   Matthew Phillips   Jesse Puljujarvi

Captain Pietrangelo and McAvoy will lead a very strong backend. "We have worked very hard to make sure we have a highly skilled and deep blueline. Our guys can move up and down the lineup with ease and still have enough talent in the pipeline to make sure it won't be a concern for a long time.

In net Demko will be taking the majority of the load but a good backup is still a glaring hole. Drew Commesso and Joel Blomqvist look to have bright futures but are a ways off.

Alex Pieterangelo "C"   Thatcher Demko   Charlie McAvoy
Quinn Hughes       Rasmus Andersson
Chris Tanev       Oliver Kilington

Scott Perunovich   Drew Commesso   Juuso Valamaki
Ville Heinola   Joel Blomqvist   Jacob Zboril
Johnathan Kovacevic   Tyler Parsons   Ryan O'Rourke
Jared McIsaac       Anttoni Honka

2023-2024 may be a ways off, but the Flames Faithful still has an eye on what should be a fun year and the beginning of something special.
