Pro Roster

Forwards:      B. Saad, M. Scheifele, M. Zibanejad, T. Toffoli, O. Bjorkstrand, J. Fast, Z. Sanford, J. Eriksson Ek, J. Dickinson, J. Greenway,

Defence:       V. Hedman, R. Ellis, C. Parayko, A. Pelech, S. Mayfield, J. Siegenthaler

Goalie:          M. Jones, C. DeSmith

Off Season Team Needs:   2 x top 6 wingers, 1 top 4 D, better starting G

Free Agency:     Can you say welcome home Roman Josi or Alex Pietrangelo, Blake Wheeler or Alex Ovechkin?

The Oilers could end up with 2 of these guys or other players of similar ratings.

Edmonton can make a splash in free agency because they don’t have anyone that will need a major raise in the next 2 years.

2020 / 2021 Season Outlook:    Wow, how did the Oilers not make the playoffs with this line up, in that division?

As if that wasn’t enough, Edmonton has $28 M to spend on free agency and they own the 3rd pick in this year’s DCHL draft and also own the Blackhawks pick and 3 x 2nd round picks.

The only weakness on this team is the starting Goalie Martin Jones.  If the Oilers GM could upgrade his starting G, 1 top 6 (2 would be a luxury) and 1 top 4 D, I would be surprised if the Oilers didn’t make it to the conference final.

Did I mention that he also has the 3rd pick overall in the DCHL draft?

Top Prospects / Under 25’s:   J. Eriksson Ek, O. Tippett, J. Greenway, J. Gauthier, S. Steel, J. Kuokkanen, T. Frederic, A. Romanov, M. Anderson.

Future Outlook:      Most of the Oilers Prospects have graduated and are now rated players and although there are no superstars that are expected to come out of this group it is a solid group of prospects / U25 players.

Did I mention that the Oilers have the 3rd pick in this year’s DCHL draft?  Are you kidding me!
